On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Ontario Provincial Council of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, the UCC-OPC has initiated the Annual UCC- OPC Trillium Award. This Award honours individuals, both youth and adult, who have made meritorious contributions in a volunteer capacity, to create a strong, vibrant and active Ukrainian Canadian community in the province of Ontario.
The UCC- OPC Trillium Award for Adults recognizes the outstanding volunteer service and/or exceptional community involvement of individuals, who through their leadership and contributions have made a lasting, positive impact on the Ukrainian Canadian community in the province of Ontario.
The UCC– OPC Trillium Award for Youth recognizes youth who have made an outstanding contribution to the Ukrainian Canadian community in Ontario, through their volunteer achievements, their leadership, dedication and enthusiasm for community work. The candidates, by their involvement, inspire and encourage other youth to become more involved.
ELIGIBILITY
Canadian individuals, groups or organizations are eligible to be nominated for the UCC- OPC Trillium Award.
Canadian youth between the ages of 16-25 years of age are eligible to be nominated for the UCC- OPC Trillium Award for Youth, as are youth groups and organizations.
Nominations must be submitted in electronic format no later than August 10th of each year.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Awards will be presented annually in the Fall.
