## Our Mandate

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Ontario Provincial Council (UCC-OPC) unites Ukrainian organizations across Ontario, representing the community before the people and Government of Ontario.

## Purposes & Objectives

The nine purposes and objectives of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Ontario Provincial Council.

### Representation & Advocacy

- Act as an authoritative representative for the Ukrainian Canadian community in Ontario.
- Strengthen and co-ordinate participation of Ukrainian Canadians in Canadian social and cultural life - rooted in justice, freedom, and independence.
- Promote friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Canada and Ukraine.

### Community & Support

- Support the democratic, civil, social, economic, and state development of Ukraine.
- Plan and develop sound community life among Ukrainian Canadians in all its aspects.
- Improve the social, economic, and cultural conditions of Ukrainian Canadians, and assist newcomers, elderly, youth, and refugees.

### Culture & Education

- Maintain, develop, and enhance Ukrainian culture and language as integral elements of Canada's multicultural mosaic.
- Promote tolerance, understanding, and goodwill between all segments of society within a multicultural Canada.
- Further the development of educational materials and learning opportunities on Ukrainian topics.
