September is Ukrainian Heritage Month in Ontario, following the passage of Bill 215 in the Provincial Parliament on October 29, 2024, officially designating September as Ukrainian Heritage Month. This month celebrates the values, traditions, and history that have enriched the social and cultural fabric of Canada. It serves as an opportunity to honour the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Ukrainian immigrants and their descendants.
