Halyna Vynnyk has been a proud and dedicated member of the League of Ukrainian Canadian Women for 30 years, during which time she has been deeply and meaningfully involved in the broader Ukrainian community. As President of the LUCW Toronto Branch, she has initiated and participated in a wide range of projects dedicated to the continued growth and development of a strong and prosperous Ukrainian community in Canada, with a particular focus on the role, representation, and needs of Ukrainian women. Through the organization's cultural, educational, and humanitarian activities, Halyna has played an instrumental role in strengthening the Ukrainian community's identity in Canada, while simultaneously supporting and improving the quality of life for women in Ukraine. Her work reflects a deep belief that a thriving community is built on the empowerment of its women, and she has worked tirelessly to bring that belief to life through action. Since 2014, following the onset of conflict in Ukraine, Halyna's primary focus has been providing humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In this capacity, she serves as a liaison coordinator for the Friends of Ukraine Defense Forces Fund, working to ensure that critical support reaches those on the front lines.
